“Always and in all things, God must be praised.”

Have you discovered within yourself the need for a place where you can go off by yourself to pray?
The Poor Clares recognize the value of this prayer of solitude and offer the use of a hermitage on the monastery grounds, whether for an afternoon or several days.
This small, compact cabin offers a place of aloneness with God. All the basics are provided – bed, linen, chair and table, running water and complete bath. A two-burner hot plate, toaster oven, small fridge as well as dishes and utensils allow you to be self-sufficient. A guest retreatant is asked to bring his/her own food for the time spent in the hermitage.
The chapel at the monastery, about 200 feet away, is available for personal prayer. You are invited to join the community for Eucharist and Morning and Evening Praise, as you desire. You will need to call ahead to book your desired time.
