Franciscan Poor Clare Sisters of Duncan

The gospel mission of contemplative communities is to awaken the world to God’s presence. We do this by nurturing this presence through a life of prayer and by helping others to realize the depth of their human communion in the family of God. Prayer is the catalyst that motivates all aspects of our outreach.

We extend hospitality through

• Spiritual companioning
• Making available a sacred space (hermitage) for days of personal solitude and silent prayer
• Inviting others to join us for Eucharist and the Liturgy of the Hours

Our outreach is multifaceted:

• Prayer support

• Support of the local food bank
• Days of prayer
• Care of the environment
