30 pm - Reading Office: Having been refreshed, we return to Chapel for the Office of Readings of psalms and readings - a selection from Scripture with a patristic or contemporary commentary.
00 pm to 5:00 pm - Work: Following a time for personal space, we resume our work or study. Sisters who are in formation have extra time for their study projects, but all the Sisters pursue areas of particular interest which help to support their spiritual growth. On some occasions, Sisters may work together on a particular community project – workshop for students, day of prayer, or classes for our community.
00 pm - Evening Praise: Morning and Evening Prayer are the pivotal moments of our day. The Psalms are chanted and generally there is more singing. We gather together to offer our praise and worship to God in a spirit of gratitude and love. The many concerns which fill our hearts are placed in the Heart of Christ as we join our prayer with His to the Source of All, our Creator God.
30 pm to 6:00 pm - Contemplative Space: Sisters are encouraged to use this time in whatever way nurtures their spirit. It may be spiritual reading, taking a reflective walk outside, enjoying the quiet which surrounds us, listening to music or quiet prayer.
00 pm - Supper: This meal is generally taken without conversation as we listen to music or an educational or spiritual recorded conference. The menu is more simple in style.
00 p m - Adoration: Our Franciscan tradition is rooted in the Eucharist. We take time each day to reverence the Presence of Christ in our midst in the Blessed Sacrament. This communal gathering in silence is an opportunity to open oneself to God’s transforming power to become Eucharist for others and for our world. It is also a time to reflect on our day as we place our night in God’s care.
00 pm - Compline: This is our final communal prayer. At the conclusion of our Marian hymn, we enter into a deeper space of silence until we meet again the following morning in Chapel.
