MONASTERY OF ST. CLARE
a sisterhood of Roman Catholic women living a contemplative form of life as Poor Clares following in the footsteps of St. Clare and St. Francis.
Franciscans embrace the challenge to live a counter-cultural way of life with values of simplicity, poverty, community and prayer.
Followers of St. Francis believe that all are called into the one family of God, to be sisters and brothers who assist one another.
As Poor Clares, we have chosen to live this call by a life
centered on prayer within community modeled after the example of St. Clare.
Our prayer reaches far beyond the boundaries of our monastic grounds to touch the lives of others, united with all who seek God.
